Spirit of the Lakes Festival kicks off July 17–19 at Surfside Park in Mound—a beloved community summer tradition near Lake Minnetonka.
Crazy Days begins today in Downtown Excelsior (July 17–20), an annual sidewalk sale event featuring local businesses and great deals.

The Lake Minnetonka Fourth of July celebration at Excelsior Commons (Firecracker Run, kids’ parade, live music, fireworks at 9:50 PM on July 4) was deemed a success. The event was sponsored by various local organizations—like Highmark Builders and Bay to Bay Boat Club.
However, the Excelsior–Lake Minnetonka Chamber warns that the future of the fireworks is threatened. Due to funding and legal changes, they now need a new 501(c)(3) sponsor to continue beyond 2025.
